Rs.10,000 salary hike for state sector employees- Ravi

According to the Interim Budget presented to the Parliament, the Government has decided to increase the salaries of the state sector employees by Rs. 10,000, Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake said.

Karunanayaka said that the salaries of state sector employees will be increased by Rs. 5000 this month and again in June this year.

The Government has also requested the private sector to consider an increment of Rs. 2500 for its employees, he added.
