Two dead, 5 injured after van crashes into wall in Jaffna

Two persons were killed and another 5 wounded after a van crashed into a wall in the Kodikamam area in Jaffna today (16).

The Police Spokesman’s Office said that a van traveling from Katunayake to Jaffna. 

Seven persons were rushed to the Jaffna Hospital following the accident while two of them in critical condition were transferred to the Chavakachcheri Hospital. 

However, the two men (28 and 54) were pronounced dead on admittance. 

The driver of the van is among the deceased, the Police Spokesman’s Office said.
