Sri Lanka appoints new Ambassador to Myanmar

K.W.N.D. Karunaratne has been appointed as the new Sri Lankan Ambassador to Myanmar, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said. 

“The Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has, with the concurrence of the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar decided to appoint Mr. K.W.N.D. Karunaratne as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in succession to His Excellency H.R. Piyasiri,” the ministry said in a statement.
