Four Navy rugby players, who wore ‘YO-07’ armbands, which was former President’s son Yoshitha Rajapaksa’s number in team, have been suspended from the squad, the Navy Spokesman said.

The rugby players have worn the armbands during the yesterday’s match against the Army team at the Diyagama ground to show solidarity to their former captain Yoshitha Rajapaksa who has been remanded over money laundering allegations, it was reported.

Navy Spokesperson Captain Akram Alavi said that the four players were suspended pending further investigations upon a directive issued by the Navy chief.
