Two arrested after attempt to rob bank customer in Homagama

Two persons have been arrested after they attempted to rob a bag containing money from a customer of a private bank in the Homagama town. 

The customer in question had withdrawn a large sum of money from the bank and was attempting to enter his vehicle within the bank premises when the suspects had attempted to rob him. 

However, the customer had immediately yelled out prompting the bank’s security guards and others in the vicinity to rush to his help. 

The two robbers had attempted to flee the scene, however they were arrested with the help of people nearby, police said.
