Police fire tear gas to disperse student protest

Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse protesting university students near Ceramic Junction in Colombo Fort, a short while ago.

The protest was organized by the Inter University Students Federations (IUSF) against the private medical college in Malabe while the students marched from Kelaniya to Colombo.
