Former Crime OIC of the Narahenpita police Sumith Perera, who was arrested for allegedly hiding evidence in the murder of Wasim Thajudeen, has been further remanded until May 12.

The suspect was remanded after being produced before the Colombo Additional Magistrate this morning (05), Ada Derana reporter said.

The CID also informed the Court that there is a contradiction in the statements made by the official in connection with the case.
