Case against Nalaka Godahewa to be heard in October

The hearing of case against three persons including the former chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC), Dr. Nalaka Godahewa, will commence at the Colombo High Court on October 19.
Dr. Godahewa was arrested by the Financial Crime Investigation Division (FCID) on December 07, 2015.
He was remanded in custody and later released on bail pending investigations into misappropriation of state funds. The case centres on the misappropriation of five million rupees given to a youth organisation run by the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa’s son Namal Rajapakse in violation of financial regulations.
