Naval rating commits suicide at Trincomalee camp

A naval rating has committed suicide inside the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) camp in Trincomalee by shooting himself.

Police said the 36-year-old from Kandy had used his own official fire arm on himself. 

The postmortem examination is to be carried out today while Trincomalee Harbour Police is conducting an investigation.
