NPC Deputy Chairman dies after suffering a suspected heart attack

The Deputy Chairman of the Northern Provincial Council (NPC) Antony Jeganathan has died following an accident in the Mulliyaweli area this morning. 

It is reported that the accident occurred when his motorcycle toppled while traveling on the main road. 

He was rushed to the Mullaitivu Hospital, however was pronounced dead on admission.

Mullaitivu Police is conducting an investigation into the incident. 

Meanwhile the relatives of the NPC Deputy Chairman said that it is suspected that he suffered a heart attack while rising the motorcycle.

Mariyampillai Antony Jeganathan is a member of the Northern Provincial Council representing the Mullaitivu District.
