President Sirisena leaves for Thailand

President Maithripala Sirisena left Colombo last night for Bangkok to attend the Asia Corporation Dialogue Summit, that brings together 34 nations in the Asian region. 

The President was accompanied by First Lady Jayanthi Sirisena.

The Dialogue Summit will take place from the 8th to the 10th of October in Bangkok. Sri Lanka joined the Asia Corporation Dialogue (ACD) in 2003. 

President Maithripala Sirisena attends this august conference for the first time as President of Sri Lanka, the Presidential Media Division said.

Apart from attending the conference, President Sirisena will hold several bilateral meetings with leaders of states, including the Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha.

The ACD is a forum for nations in the region to deliberate on matters concerning the region. President will address the ACD summit on the 9th of October.
