The Prime Minister should make a special statement in connection with the decision to summon former Defence Secretary to the Courts, MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage says.
He expressed this view while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (13).
He also pointed out the institutions that came under the criticism of President Maithripala Sirisena are under Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
“The chief of the anti-graft commission is a close friend of the PM, therefore Wickremesinghe should make a special statement on the decision to summon former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa,” he added.
Aluthgamage went on to say that the conduct of the Bribery Commission is doubtful thus they are unsure whether it would launch unbiased investigation into complaints on the pro-government MPs.
“We possess details on ten pro-government corrupt politicians,” he added.
Aluthgamage also alleged that a tender has been issued by the company owned by former CB Governor Arjuna Mahendran’s son in law with respect of the construction of Kandy – Colombo highway.
