Singer Chillie released on bail

Singer Chillie Thilanka who was remanded for allegedly assaulting a 57-year old man over a road rage incident has been granted bail this morning (25).


Thilanka was released on bail after being produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate. He was released on a cash bail of Rs.10,000 and a personal bail of Rs.500,000.


An investigation was launched against Chillie following a complaint lodged by a trishaw driver who alleged that the singer had assaulted him in Thalangama three days ago.


The driver who sustained minor injuries was initially admitted to the Thalangama Base hospital for treatments.
