Tobacco sale near schools to be banned - Rajitha

Steps will be taken to ban the selling of cigarettes within 500 meters of the schools, Minister Rajitha Senaratne says.


The observation was made during an event held in Colombo this afternoon (24).


"A proposal will be made to ban the sale of tobacco products near school premises," Senaratne said.


He also pointed out many measures have also been taken by the government to curb smoking.
