GMOA strike extended by 24 hours

The Governments Medical Officers Association (GMOA) stated that they will be extending their strike by a period of 24 hours.

GMOA’s assistant secretary, Dr. Haritha Aluthgamage stated that the decision was made unanimously by all union leaders. 

The protest are being held at provincial levels and were made against the function of the Medical school in Malabe, since the 20 of this month, sources reveal. 

The GMOA further added that the strike is currently operating in areas such as the Uva, North, North - Central, North – Western provinces and many more.
