Body found floating in Kelani River

The body of a woman has been found floating on the Kelani River near Peliyagoda, police said.


The body was recovered following a tip-off received by the Peliyagoda police  on Sunday.


The identity of the woman is still unknown, police added.


Her remains were taken to the Colombo National hospital for a post-mortem.
