17 injured in bus-lorry collision in Bentota

At least 17 passengers were wounded and hospitalised following a traffic collision involving a private bus and a lorry in Bentota this morning. 

Police said that a lorry transporting goods from Aluthgama to Galle had collided with a bus traveling from Matara to Colombo.

The drivers of the two vehicles are among the injured, who have been admitted to Nagoda, Balapitiya and Bentota hospitals for treatment. 

Bentota Police is conducting an investigation.
