Harthal in the North and East today

A harthal movement will be staged in the Northern and Eastern provinces today (27).
The harthal is being staged requesting for the government to transfer the land occupied by the army, back to the public, and to look for the missing individuals who disappeared from the area during the war.
The harthal will be staged from 6.00am to 6.00pm today.
The protest has received the support of the Tamil National Alliance, the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress and many other political parties.
