S.M. Ranjith says he has resigned from his ministerial portfolios in the North Central Provincial Council.

Ranjith said that he resigned in protest of removing K.H. Nandasena from the ministerial post on Wednesday morning.

K.H. Nandasena while speaking to reporters at a press conference held today said that he was informed on the decision to remove him from his ministerial portfolios this morning. Nandasena also alleged that his ministerial portfolios were removed for backing former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Meanwhile, NPC member Herath Bandara has sworn in for the ministerial posts vacated after the removal of  K.H. Nandasena.
