Child killed by elephant in Serunuwara

A child was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Serunuwara early hours of this morning (26), police said.
The victim has been identified as a 6-year-old girl who was a resident of Kawanthissapura, Serunuwara, police added.
The remains of the deceased are kept at the Serunuwara Divisional hospital pending an autopsy.
