Dengue Control Unit is covering up evidence - GMOA

July 11, 2017   07:44 pm

The Government Medical Officer’s Association (GMOA), stated that the National Dengue Control unit has been hiding information regarding dengue patients, instead of helping to control the spread of disease.

GMOA added that by covering up facts and statistics recorded on the disease, the process of controlling the consequences of dengue has become harder.

The GMOA further stated that according to the information presented by the National Entomology Unit, the population density of dengue mosquitos is steadily increasing, while the ‘dengue epidemic’ status will remain, for at least the next two months.

They went onto say that officials have not been providing the right scientific solutions to the matter, driving the country towards a very tragic situation.

GMOA further added that instead of finding solutions to the dengue crisis, the Health Minister of the country is attending to his personal agendas, while violating the Medical Ordinance.
