Govt. will remain strong till 2020- Bandara

Minister of Irrigation and Water resources, Palitha Range Bandara stated that the government will keep moving forward till the year 2020. 

The statements were brought out during a press conference held today (16), during a informative visit to the Hakwatunawa Irrigation project, in the Kurunegala district. 

He added that although many individuals have attempted to intimidate the government, the government shall remain strong and will keep progressing till 2020. He further stated that during the previous regime, the country spent writing up debts against its name while no major progress was made. 

In contrast, the country is taking big steps towards development, according to Bandara. He stated that farming organizations have been adequately educated, procedures have been carried out in a very transparent manner. 

Bandara stated that certain political parties and individuals have tried to provoke the public in order to gain some form of political support .
