Shots fired by gunmen on bike puts 1 in Hambantota hospital

An individual has been admitted to the Hambantota hospital after being shot by two men on a motorbike. 

The shooting had taken place at around 8.30 am today (19), on a bridge near the Dry Zone Botanical Gardens in Hambantota. 

Police have identified the injured as a 41-year-old resident in the area where the shooting took place. 

The suspects behind the shooting are yet to be identified, while Hambantota Police have begun further investigations on the matter.
