Motorcycle collision takes life of Andarawewa youth

A motorcyclist travelling on the Andarawewa-Mattala old road was tragically killed after colliding with a tractor earlier on today (19).

The Police have reported that the accident occurred near the bund of Andarawewa where the motorcycle was traveling at a high speed before it collided with the oncoming tractor.

The youth traveling on the motorcycle, who was admitted to the Hambantota hospital after sustaining heavy injuries passed away shortly after being admitted.

It has been reported that the young man involved in the fatality was a 26 year old resident of the Hambantota lower Andarawewa region.
The Police have reported that the driver of the tractor is currently in police custody pending an inquiry.
