Peradeniya students protest against the arrest of Ryan Jayalath

A group of students from the Peradeniya University have organized a protest against the arrest of the convener of the Medical Faculty Student’s Action committee Ryan Jayalath in Kandy today (19).
Earlier today a large group of Peradeniya university students gathered in protest near the Galaha junction in front of the Peradeniya Medical Faculty.
As a result of the protest the Police had no option but to close down one lane of the Kandy-Colombo road heading towards Kandy from Galaha.
It has been reported that the protest was organized by senior members of the Peradeniya Medical Faculty students union to voice their anger against the injustice committed against Ryan Jayalath.
