Uma-Oya project will be transformed into a viable resource – Amaraweera

Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resource Development Mahinda Amaraweera stated that the Uma-oya project which has morphed into a misfortune that has plagued the residents of the Uva region will be transformed into a viable resource for the public. 

The Minister stated that a development plan will be formulated to restructure and develop the Uma-Oya project under the patronage of the President.
 
Minister Amaraweera expressed these sentiments while addressing a gathering in Bandarawela.
