The Ministry of Education has taken steps to launch a pilot project to enable students who failed their GCE Ordinary Level Examinations, to gain entry to the GCE Advanced Level Examination that is scheduled to commence in October.

This program has been launched to ensure that every child gains a holistic 13 year education within the country. Accordingly, starting this year any student who is unable to pass the O/Level examination will have the opportunity of gaining entry to the A/Level streams through this pilot project.

The Ministry has stated that this project will provide students with the necessary technical, economic, social and vocational skills that will make them productive members of the community through a school based education.

The project is set to be launched in 42 schools across the country within the course of next month.
