Political activists have attempted to hinder the vision of the President – Shantha Bandara

Leader of the SLFP Youth Front Shantha Bandara stated that several parties have attempted to hinder the development plan formulated by President Maithripala Sirisena. 

Speaking to the media at a press conference today (19), MP Shantha Bandara stated that the remarks made by several individuals on the nation’s outlook on Human Rights is baseless as the President has clearly declared the stance taken by Sri Lanka with regards to Human Rights.  
  
MP Bandara further stated that the current government has been able to accomplish several progressive steps that the previous government was not able to accomplish.

Speaking on the political sympathizers of the LTTE, MP Bandara stated that there still exist several LTTE advocates who have aided the cause of the terrorist group in order to cause disarray within the country.
