BIA Officials intercept Malaysian national smuggling US$ 35000

A 53-year old Malaysian national bound for Kuala Lampur on flight OD186 was intercepted at the Departure Terminal of the Bandaranaike International Airport while attempting to smuggle US$ 35000 hidden inside his hand luggage.
 
The case valued at Rs. 5,443,983 was handed over to the Customs AASL security officials who were on duty at the final gate at the departure terminal.
