October 20, 2017   04:49 pm

Sri Lanka Police announced that vehicular movement along the road from Borella to Battaramulla will be restricted from tomorrow until Monday (October 23), due to construction work on the Welikada flyover.

Vehicle movement is to be limited on the road stretch from Welikada Junction, where the flyover begins, to the Parliament Road in Battaramulla.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes such as the Kota Road towards Battaramulla through Buthgamuwa Road avoiding the bridge.

Meanwhile traffic entering and exiting Colombo from Welikada Junction will be limited to two lanes. This is expected to result in severe traffic congestion along the road.
