MP Dullus Alahapperuma stated that the current government is systematically scheming to divide the Buddhist clergy within Sri Lanka.

He expressed these statements while visiting the families of the arrested persons who were detained for unruly behavior during the Hambantota protests that occurred on October 6.

“The current government reveres people like Gamini Viyangoda and Neville Fernando as their advices. We grew up in accordance with the fear pf karma and always had the utmost reverence for Buddhist clergy. The current government is attempting to destroy that system” he further stated.
