Organizer of the National Freedom Front Piyasiri Wijenayake stated that the sentiments uttered by Wimal Weerawansa, who expressed the need to ‘bomb’ the parliamentary complex, are not shared by the members of the National Freedom Front.

Leader of the National Freedom Front Wimal Weerawansa stated that the parliament should be ‘bombed’ should the majority of parliament not object to the proposed draft bill on the new constitution.

He had made these statements while speaking to the media on October 22, during the launching of his book ‘Yadmin Bandi Akshara’.

Speaking to the media today (25), Piyasiri Wijenayake stated that the ideologies expressed by Wimal Weerawansa are his own private sentiments and that other party members did not share the thoughts expressed with regards to the ‘bombing’ of parliament.
