One person arrested with 2.2 kilograms of heroin

One person in possession of 2.2 kgs of heroin was arrested in Vavuniya Bus Terminal by Vavuniya Police yesterday (09).

He was arrested in a bus Jaffna-Colombo following a tip off received by the police.

The suspect was identified as a 53-year-old residing in Kaithadi-Jaffna.

He will be produced before Vavuniya Magistrate today.

Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by Vavuniya Police.
