Rajitha to leave for Abu Dhabi

Minister of Health, Nutrition Indigenous Medicine  Rajitha Senaratne is to leave for the Global Health Summit, which is scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi from November 15 onward.

“Mobilizing Together to Eliminate Infectious Diseases” is this year’s theme of the summit organized by the Bill Gates Foundation, Carter Centre and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

A team of officials headed by Minister Rajitha Senaratne will participate in the Summit representing Sri Lanka.
 
The summit will focus on sharing insights and best practice on how to map out, eliminate, and eradicate infectious diseases, especially Malaria

A special lecture will be delivered by the Minister at the summit on Malaria eradication from Sri Lanka and the Minister will share the State’s commitment, the results of malaria eradication, at the Summit, the Health Ministry reported.
