Sustainability and tourism will grow through 2018 budget – Amaratunga

Minister of tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs John Amaratunga stated that the budget proposals for 2018 have vehemently bolstered the tourism trade and sustainable development within Sri Lanka. 

He expressed these sentiments during the second round of debates on the Appropriation bill. 

Minister Amaratunga also stated that the budget for 2018 is the most successful set of proposals after the J.R.Jayawardene era. He mentioned that education and health will also greatly benefit from the 2018 budget. 

It is also clear that the main focal point of the budget is to encourage sustainable development within Sri Lanka to create long-lasting economic progress Minister John Amaratunga said.
