2018 Budget will enable economic progress for Sri Lanka - PM

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe stated that the budget proposals for 2018 that were themed around fostering a foundation of welfare and progress will enable the creation of a strong Sri Lankan economy. 

The Premier pointed out that the government has systematically taken steps to provide the people with relief and welfare despite the country being plagued by a crushing debt burden. 

Speaking to a gathering at Temple Trees, the Prime Minister stated that the youth can be provided with ample employment opportunities should the industrial sector be developed.
