Suspect detained with ‘Kerala Ganja’ worth Rs.1.5 million

Vavuniya Police arrested one person while transporting Kerala cannabis worth 1.5 million in a Jaffna-Colombo bus today (21.) 

Drugs hidden inside the suspect’s luggage were seized following a tip-off received by Vavuniya Police.  

The suspect was identified as a 30-year-old residing in Puttalam.

The suspect and the seized stock of Kerala cannabis will be produced before the Vavuniya Magistrate today.

Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by Vavuniya Police.
