Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake and several PC members were prevented from leaving council premises by protesting unemployed graduates.

A tense situation was reported outside the Central Provincial Council (CPC) premises due to the protest.

Protesters blocked all the gates of the CPC preventing anyone from leaving the premises.

However, the protest concluded a short while ago as the Minister had promised the protesters that he would look into their grievances.
