I will defend President against any belittlement - Lakshman Yapa

State Minister of Public Enterprise Development Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena said that he will defend the President against any belittlement.

He pointed out that he is even prepared to withdraw from the government to do so.

“Some Ministers of the government are criticizing the President for acting against corruptions which had become a great issue.”

However, UNP General Secreatry Kabir Hashim stated that the members of both UNP and the SLFP should dedicate themselves to protect the National Government.
