31 JVP members join with SLFP

Thirty-one members of the JVP including four former parliamentarians and seven provincial councilors defecated from the JVP to pledge their support to President Maithripala Sirisena and the SLFP. 

Accordingly Dimuthu Abeykoon, R.P.A.Ranaweera, S.K.Subhasinghe and Anjan Ummah who are all former parliamentarians joined the SLFP while provincial council members Eraj Krishantha de Alwis, Saman Pushpakumara, Anura Dissanayake, H.M.K.Herath, M.Jayaratne, Aruna Dissanayake and P.Bhuminadan also joined the SLFP. 

Meanwhile former provincial councilor Palitha Lihiniya Kumara and two other UNP members also joined the SLFP.
