The Road Development Authority (RDA) says, traffic congestion is reported on the Southern Expressway towards Galle due to an accident near 48th km post.

It has been observed that more people tend to use the expressways to return to their homes during the Sinhala and Tamil New year.

The RDA requests motorists to reduce their speeds when driving along the Southern Expressway considering the rainy weather condition and exercise caution.
