Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says if the sniper weapons belonging to the Police Department have gone missing, it is problematic.

He mentioned this following the Poya Day program held at Carlton House in Tangalle, today (24).

Who are these weapons used against is a question that arises, says Rajapaksa.

When there are reports and evidences of a conspiracy to assassinate the President and the former Defense Secretary, law still isn’t implemented against the suspects, he said.

When the US Dollar value increases, it affects the economy and it is felt by the public, he pointed out.

He also said that everything including rice, dhal and sugar are imported from foreign countries.
