Special workshop for MPs on SDGs

The workshop on the activeness of the Members of the Parliament for sustainable development goals (SDGs) is scheduled to commence today (12).

The three-day workshop will be held in Colombo under the patronage of Speaker Karu Jayasuriya.

The purpose of this workshop is to prepare and integrate the parliamentarians for sustainable development goals, educating them on the additional strategies to accomplish sustainable development goals and identifying the necessary mechanisms and collaborations.

Parliamentary Select Committee on the United Nations 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development, United Nations Development Programme, and the Inter-Parliamentary Union have jointly organized this workshop.
