JVP protest march commences in Colombo

UPDATE: (5.02 p.m.) - Heavy traffic has been reported near the Fort Railway Station in Colombo and surrounding areas due to the JVP protest march.


Severe traffic congestion has been reported from Punchi Borella towards Maradana due to the protest march organized by the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP).

The series of protests is being staged against the government over its latest policies and the unfair increases in taxes and Cost of Living as well as the burden caused to the people.
