Youth killed in tipper-motorbike collision

A motor accident near Mihintale-Matale junction on the Puttalam-Trincomalee road has killed one person and injured another.

The accident had occurred at around 11 pm last night (12) when a tipper truck and a motorcycle collided, reports the police.

The person who rode at the back of the motorcycle had been severely injured in the accident and is currently receiving treatment at the Anuradhapura Hospital. Reportedly, his condition is critical.

The deceased is a 21 year old named Yohan Madusanka from Samagipura area in Anuradhapura.

The driver of the tipper truck has been arrested over the incident and Mihintale Police is conducting further investigations.
