Police fire tear gas at protesting students

UPDATE (3.48 pm): Police have used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the university students near the Lotus Roundabout.


Lotus Road in Colombo has been temporarily closed due to a protest by university students, according to Ada Derana reporter.

Reportedly, the protest is conducted by Inter University Student Federation (IUSF).
