Youth arrested with 1kg of heroin in Marawila

Marawila Police arrested a 28-year-old suspect with one kilogram of heroin worth over Rs 12 million in Marawila.
Police said that the suspect was arrested during a raid carried out at Dematapitiya at around 6.15 p.m. yesterday (23), based on information received by Marawila Police.
The arrested suspect, Thusitha Pathum (28), a resident of Lunuwila, will be produced before the Marawila Magistrate’s Court today.
Marawila Police is conducting further investigations.
