Tripitaka to be declared a National Heritage

The national ceremony for declaring the ‘Tripitaka’ as a National Heritage is scheduled to be held on the 05th of January.

Accordingly, the ceremony will take place at Aluvihara Temple in Matale, under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.

Reportedly, 1500 Theros including the Venerable Chief Prelates will attend this historic event.
