Thirty-four year old shot and injured at Jinthupitiya

A person has been shot at and injured near Maliban Junction in Jinthupitiya in Colombo this evening (20), stated the Police.

According to the Police, persons who had arrived on a motorcycle had fired the shots and fled the scene. 

The injured is a 34-year-old male who had been travelling on three-wheeler at the time of the incident. Reportedly, he had suffered gunshot wounds on his back.

The injured person has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment.

Police have commenced further investigations on the incident
