Shooting in Weligama injures one

A person has been injured following a shooting incident at Polwatta area in Weligama-Matara, stated Police.

The injured person has been admitted to Matara General Hospital for treatment.

The shooting victim had been riding a motorcycle when two unidentified persons had arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at him.

The injured person is identified to be a 38-year-old from Weligama area.

Weligama Police is conducting investigations into the matter.
